Our client has an immediate need for a Project Manager within the Robotics COE. The Alternative title will be Project Execution Manager. The successful candidates will have a minimum of 5+ years' experience with applying and analyzing quality issues surrounding Conveyor, Robotics and/or complex assembly products. Complex projects may contain or consist of industrial or custom robots, complex PLC controls and HMI software, vision guided manipulation, intelligent end of arm tooling and interfaces with complex Automated Storage and Retrieval systems, high speed carton and package conveyance and sort subsystems, pallet handling systems, etc. Preference will be given to candidates that possess or are in process of securing PMI/PMP certification. Candidate must be able to demonstrate the management of programs with multi-products, bringing technologies together in a single solution meeting production, costs and timing requirements.
ResponsibilitiesDevelops project/program plan on very complex projects or programs. Guides strategic projects or programs. Guides project/program management activities (defining scheduling, budget, risk, change, opportunity and resource management activities) for very complex projects or programs. Guides the technical review of system design and documentation. Develops continuous improvement plan. May develop client relationship and sales opportunities.
ResponsibilitiesPerforms leading-edge areas of work for the professional field. Preempts potential problems and provides effective solutions in reaction to application of concepts, techniques, knowledge, or processes. Displays original thinking in applying principles, theories, and concepts on a wide range of problems. Recommends the best internal team for the project in conjunction with other PM's. Evaluates need for external resources with other PM's and provides recommendations. Verify standards conformance during project execution. Support overall program managers in project execution to deliver expected project performance requirements.
EducationTypically BS/BA in related discipline or advanced degree. Certification may be required in some areas. Experience may be a substitute for a degree but would require extensive experience in the related field with the demonstration of successful programs.
Knowledge And ExperienceDemonstrates extensive knowledge in field of specialization or multiple disciplines to the successful completion of complex assignments. Successfully serves as point of authority and/or source of technical/scientific knowledge in the area of robotic systems. Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of organizations business practices and issues faced and contributes to problem resolution of those issues. Typically 5-8 years of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above. Advanced degree MAY be substituted for experience, where applicable.
