Join team designing a wide range of automated high placement accuracy machines for different stages of electronic, MEM and photonic device micro assembly such as assembly, aligning, coating, stacking, precision pick & place, bonding, packaging, testing, inspecting and validating equipment. 


Typical components to be designed: 


*** Impactive End Effectors: Jaws and claws which physically grasp by direct impact upon substrates. 


*** Ingressive End Effectors: Pins, needles and hackles which physically penetrate the surface of components. 


*** Astrictive End Effectors: Vacuum, airflow or magnetic forces applied to the components and substrates. 


*** Contigutive End Effectors: Requiring direct contact for adhesion by glue, surface tension, freezing, etc. ). 


*** Bernoulli grippers - Contactless gripper, namely the object remains confined in the airflow force filed generated by the gripper without coming into direct contact with it. 


*** Electrostatic grippers and van der Waals grippers. Based on charge (electrostatic) difference between the gripper and the part or based on the atomic attraction between the molecules of the gripper and those of the substrate or component. 


*** Liquid medium based capillary grippers and cryogenic grippers. Based on liquid meniscus surface tension or ice the necessary force to lift and handle the component or substrate is generated. 


*** Contactless ultrasonic grippers. Pressure standing waves are used to lift up a part and trap it at a certain level (levitation). 


*** Laser grippers. 




*** BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering 


*** 4+ years of hands-on experience using 2D & 3D design and modeling software. 


*** Proficiency with stress and failure analysis calculations including GD&T (Geometrical Dimensioning & Tolerancing), FEA (Finite Element Analysis) AND CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics). 


*** Track record designing multi-axis motion mechanisms.
