Contribute to machine concepts; design control software; integrate software with electrical and mechanical systems; and install machines at customer sites.

 

***Work with designers, toolmakers, and electricians to develop custom automation systems.

 

*** Obtain customer acceptance, review panel build, and assist with machine construction and debugging.

 

*** Utilize 2D AutoCAD, Rockwell software, and similar to design complete hardware portion of machine controls.

 

*** Integrate robotics (Fanuc, Kuka, ABB, and Adept robots), motion vision systems, laser, Programmable Logic Controllers, and similar controllers.

 

*** Program Allen Bradley, Siemens, Ignition, and similar Human Machine Interfaces.

 

*** Attend customer meetings, field checks, and provide onsite installation support.

 

*** Test machine functionality to verify software program completeness. Debug and resolve interrelated electrical and mechanical issues.

 

*** Conduct initial setup and weld gun calibration of robots.

 

*** Perform spot welding, Metal Inert Gas welding, laser welding, stud welding, and similar.

 

*** Set up communication and map Input & Output devices to all devices on robot internal networks.

 

*** Create Load Identification for completed tools and parts.

 

***Support compilation of final document preparation and archiving in compliance with common national standards such as: National Fire Protection Association, National Electrical Code, International Electrotechnical Commission, Conformit? Europ?ene, and similar.

 

*** Collaborate with control systems design department and other groups to improve controls technology integration methods.

 

*** Train customer on machine operation, programming principles, and program structure.
