DESCRIPTION

The Roadway Design Engineer will provide project active leadership for the successful delivery of roadway projects within Central Florida. We are looking for a candidate possessing strong verbal and written skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to lead design efforts on transportation projects. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated success in the delivery of roadway projects. Specific leadership characteristics will include:


  • Desire to be responsible for developing design plans, variations and exceptions, specifications, cost estimates, and final bid packages
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage the design of specific roadway tasks
  • Willingness to help create and foster a team environment
  • Assistance in marketing pursuits by developing concepts, attending marketing meetings, and providing technical support on letters of responses
  • Experience with FDOT on traditional design bid-build projects and/or design-build highway projects



PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS


  • 7+ years of related experience
  • BSCE in Civil Engineering
  • Professional Engineer in Florida
  • Proficient with Bentley MicroStation and GEOPAK
  • Experience with FDOT on roadway projects
  • Experience with 3D Modeling, AutoCAD, Bentley InRoads (and/or OpenRoads), and AutoTURN is a plus
