Our RN Trainer/Nurse Educator opportunity is open with a preference for candidates living in the Maryland, N. Virginia, and DC surrounding area. Our headquarters is located in Bethesda, MD. Our staff is nationwide.

As RN Trainer/Nurse Educator, you will work independently in your home office setting while being part of a supportive nationwide team. Through application of a unique mix of experience and certification, the RNTrainer/Nurse Educator will lead the execution of all phases of Medical Case Manager (MCM) and other designated MCA employee training in collaboration with the MCM Managers, Human Resources, Quality Improvement Departments and MCA Training Program Specialist. Responsibilities include developing training materials, including online modules; planning and coordinating live, remote, multimedia and web-based training offerings, as well as coordination of new hire orientation and continuing education after onboarding. Responsibilities include delivery and tracking of training, support to Unit and Department Managers in meeting training needs.


  • Unrestricted State Registered Nursing License
  • 3-5 years of experience in nurse education or training
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma
  • 3-5 years related clinical experience in workers' compensation, utilization review, disability case management, occupational health and/or comparable field
  • National certification in case management, nurse education or related field or obtained within 12 months of date of hire.
  • Experience in creating web-based e-learning modules, videos or multimedia products preferred
  • Self-motivated with strong interpersonal, persuasion, and facilitation skills with people of different levels, backgrounds and personality styles
  • Ability to work in a team environment to build
  • Ability to build rapport and positively relate to a remote team and on-site staff
  • Ability and commitment to learn content and processes related to MCM services
  • Experience creating and executing learning strategies, leading and executing blended learning solutions
  • Exercise judgment and discretion in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria
  • Exceptional analytical and problem resolution skills; ability to exercise independent, sound judgment
  • Must have Excellent Communication Skills via Phone, E-Mail, Text, and Verbal presentation
  • Well organized, efficient, and able to work independently and within a team
  • Responsible for having reliable High-Speed Cable or Fiber Optic Internet service and Internet Router in established home office
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Power Point, Excel) and computer savvy
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Prior to hire and training able to pass a preliminary credit and background check
  • Upon hire, a federal security clearance will be required
  • May perform other duties, to meet business needs
  • Ability to travel 25%, as required
