Timber Ridge professional Nursing & Rehabilitation positioned in Wilkes Barre, PA is seeking an RN supervisor to provide supervision to nursing body of workers and expert nursing care to citizens as prescribed through a medical doctor and in accordance with nursing practice standards and registered nurse scope of practice.

ABOUT

Timber Ridge is a 7-year-old facility with state of the art equipment

2ND Shift is 2:45PM - 11PM

Need to have long term care experience

Need to have supervisor or team lead experience

EXPERIENCE

Required: Sufficient experience in order to perform daily tasks with an understanding of the duties involved.

Prior experience as a Staff Nurse is required.

A minimum of one year as a Charge Nurse or supervisory experience in an assisted living facility is preferred.

EDUCATION

Required: Associate’s degree from an accredited school of nursing is necessary.

Completion of Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

REQUIREMENTS

Current RN license is required.

License must be in good standing with the state.

Possession of a current Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers CPR certificate.

Job Description:

This position is to supervise day-to-day nursing functions, while administering quality nursing care to residents, assessing residents’ health problems and needs, developing and implementing nursing care plans in conjunction with the Interdisciplinary Team, and evaluating medical resident care. A Nursing Supervisor functions as a Charge Nurse and assists in the direction and supervision of other nursing personnel and helps to promote a positive physical and psycho social environment among residents and staff.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to scheduling job assignments, processing admissions and discharges, developing nursing unit priorities, orienting new nursing staff, communicating policies and procedures, implementing planned changes, documenting call-offs, arranging for unit staffing needs on the shift, communication of resident issues requiring physician direction to the attending physician, communication of resident change in condition and physician orders to the resident responsible party, providing feedback to staff, evaluating staff job performance, counseling and disciplining employees, as necessary.
