The Nurse Manager plans, manages, coordinates and evaluates patient care activities of assigned area including resource management, quality, regulatory compliance, educational opportunities, and financial management. Serves as a leader and role model to all staff. Maintains clinical competencies of staff.
This role is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Behavioral Health unit to ensure support of the mission, goals, and objectives of the unit and Fairview Health Services.
Responsibilities also include:
Human resource management to achieve quality service and positive employee engagement.
Providing in-services as required by regulatory agencies, and ensuring department and unit standards.
Achievement of high standards of patient satisfaction as well as stellar clinical quality results.
Accountability for effective fiscal management to ensure proper utilization of financial resources.
Development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of quality improvement programs for the department.
Adherence to compliance with internal and external regulations, policies and procedures.
Develop and maintain a healthy, supportive work environment, demonstrating behaviors consistent with service excellence.
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or related field, If Bachelor’s is not in nursing then must have a Master’s degree in nursing
Advanced Degree in nursing or related field
Minnesota RN license (upon hire)
3 years inpatient nursing experience including behavioral health
1 year of leadership experience (Supervisor or Manager)
