HealthPartners has an exciting Program Administrator in Hospital Medicine and Critical Care. This role supports HealthPartners Medical Group’s quality, financial and service goals through program support to the physicians and administrative leaders.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Active member of the department leadership teams and engaged in developing and executing our annual strategic plans

  • The hospital medicine department is comprised of 120+ physicians and advanced practice providers practicing at 8 hospitals, this role is designed to be a point of contact to ensure consistency in practice across our hospital medicine program.

  • The critical care department is comprised of 12 physicians and advanced practice providers focused currently at Regions Hospital.

    Key leader in department level projects, projects include, but are not limited to:

  • Expansion of Palliative Care into the St. Croix Valley

  • Annual “High Reliability Topics”, for example Partnered Bedside Rounding

  • Hospital Medicine Wellness Committee

  • Diversity and Inclusion work plans

  • Mentorship expansion

  • Development of new models in the delivery of acute care medicine, for example use of telemedicine to deliver virtual critical care consultation to our community hospitals.

    This role partners with the Department Chairs, Chiefs, Leads, Operations Manager, Supervisors and Senior Director in the following:

  • Development of meeting agendas and facilitation of key hospital medicine and critical care specific projects and topics that better patient care and the overall program.

  • Communication of performance to multiple audiences on key indicators.

  • Implementation of the organization’s initiative to support the four dimensions:  People, Health, Experience and Stewardship.

    They lead the internal Hospital Medicine and Critical Care communications strategy, including updatingSharePoint regularly and development of monthly communications to the team about key initiatives, upcoming events, and new hire profiles.

    In partnership with the leadership team, they direct and manage various detailed physician personnel functions, including, but not limited to,

  • Recruitment and hiring support (including administrative positions), in partnership with department leaders.

  • Assists in ensuring all clinicians are up-to-date in credentialing and licensing requirements and problem solving to ensure there are no lapses in requirements.

  • Assists in ensuring all clinicians are up-to-date in corporate training and requirements and troubleshooting technical issues (e.g. Compliance training, OSHA training, Workplace Violence training, etc.)

  • Creation of new physician orientation and training materials and on-going maintenance in partnership with the leadership teams.

    Supports the creation of an environment/culture within the practice consistent with the values of HealthPartners.

    Participates in creation and updating of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans and tests.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Health Care or other related field, Master’s Degreepreferred, but not required.

  • At least 3 years of experience in health care delivery, managed care, or physician group associations or practice.

  • At least 2 years of experience implementing and/or supporting one or more of the following: process design or continuous improvement methodologies (e.g. PDSA, Lean, TQM, IndustrialEngineering, etc.).

  • Experience in PowerPoint and development of senior level presentations and communications

  • Strong interpersonal skills and development of positive work relationships.

  • Ability to manage multiple demands and priorities

  • Demonstrated positive planning, analytical, team building, organizational and communication skills.

  • Ability to balance needs of a variety of stakeholders and agendas.
