Summary: Plans, coordinates and teaches continuingeducation and in-serviceeducation for the hospital, including GeneralOrientation. Develops monthlyeducation calendar. Conducts corporate compliance agreement training andother needed staffeducation. Develops short-term and long-termeducational goals based on identified needs through Quality Council and annual assessments. Collaborates with managers and peers to evaluate staff competency
Bachelors degree in nursing or otherhealthcare related field.
Masters degree in nursing or a healthcare related field preferred.
Additional state requirements as applicable. Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may substitute for education requirements.
Appropriate state licensure for clinical specialty.
BCLS and ACLS certifications.
Clinical Nurse Specialist Preferred.
Minimum one yearexperience as clinical preceptor or management experiencerequired.
Minimum five years experience in an acute care Medical/Surgical and/or ICU/CCU setting.
