What You Will Do


As a Leaderwith Ascension Borgess, you will have the opportunity to leadand directservices, workflow and resources for the Emergency Trauma Center (ETC). The ETC at Borgess includes a48beds and 8 Emergency department Psych beds.Borgess ETC is aLevel 2 trauma center, Cycle 5 Accredited Chest Pain Center, Stoke Certified andEmergency Department Crisis Unit.


This role will directdevelopment and implementemergency services policies, procedures and strategy.


Responsibilities:

Develops departmental goals, plans and standards.

Plans, organizes and directs all activities related to staffing, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions and continuing education initiatives.

Prepares budgets and ensures compliance with allocated funding. Coordinates and directs internal/external audits.

Administers and evaluates all clinical activities including care plan development, service level determination and complaint management.


What You Will Need


Licenses/Certifications/Registration:

Required Credential(s):

BLS Providercredentialed from theAmerican Heart Association (AHA)obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Registered Nurseobtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Registered Nursecredentialed from theMichigan Board of Nursingobtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.


Education:

Diploma

Bachelor's degree in nursing or diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required Master's degree or combination of Bachelor's degree and experience preferred


Work Experience:

Minimum of five years current clinical experience in a comparable setting in ER setting. Ten years of experience preferred.

Two years of progressive management and leadership experience required. Five years of leadership or management experience preferred.

Experience in a supervisory role in a similar setting in ER/Trauma facility preferred.

Servant / Transformation Leadership style strongly desired.
