The Director of Emergency Services provides overall management and strategic leadership of the Emergency Nursing Services and affiliated service lines. Representing Emergency Services, the Director is responsible for patient safety, compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards associated with Emergency Services, budgetary duties and fiscal performance of the nursing unit, leadership of the emergency services team members, resource development and implementation of process changes and establishment, measurement, reporting and audit of Emergency Services Performance Metrics.
Graduate of a nursing program is required; bachelor's degree in nursing or healthcare administration is preferred. Current Mississippi RN licensure is required. BLS, ACLS, PALS, and CPI certifications are required. TNCC certification is required (or within one (1) year of hire into the department).
Ten (10) years of emergency and/or critical care experience is strongly preferred. Five (5) years of progressive unit management experience is preferred.
