RN Director Clinical Informatics, North Central Baptist Hospital
Provides leadership in the implementation, integration and ongoing evolution of clinical information systems at the hospital. This individual serves as a liaison between clinicians, ancillary departments, and Information Technology (IT) to align clinical and IT standards with department workflow, processes, and policies. Acts as a change agent for hospital leaders and clinicians to promote adoption of new processes and technologies and achievement and sustainment of expected benefits and is comfortable in moving the organization out of it’s comfort zone to achieve excellence. Demonstrates a clear understanding of the Baptist Health System/Tenet standards and Applied Clinical Informatics (ACI) vision and guiding principles and can articulate the big clinical picture to hospital audiences. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Nursing or evidence of enrollment in BS program with established date of completion.
PREFERRED EDUCATION: Master’s Degree in a related health care field
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 3 years clinical experience in an acute care setting. Experience in acute care electronic health record and computerized physician order entry implementation throughout the project life-cycle. Competent user of Microsoft Office products. Experience in organizational/behavior change management methodologies or principles. Demonstrates excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Possession of current Texas State License for Registered Nurse
