Job Description
Job Title: Registered Nurse
Job Specialty: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
Job Duration: 26 weeks
Shift: 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM, 4 days per week, with one night of call per week and two weekends in a six-week period.
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Experience: Minimum 1 year of CVOR experience including open heart, valve replacement and creation, bypass, endovascular, and open vascular cases.
License: Current active licensure by the State Board of Nursing
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Must-Have:
- Minimum 1 year of CVOR experience
- Experience with open heart, valve replacement and creation, bypass, endovascular, and open vascular cases
- Current active licensure and BLS certification
Job Description:
- Provide leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality, compassionate patient care.
- Utilize the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching for patients and families.
- Effectively communicate pertinent patient and family information to the healthcare team.
- Participate in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensure implementation of solutions.
- Formulate effective nursing care plans within the assigned unit or department.
- Perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
