Implement & maintain risk management procedures in order to predict clinical necessities and potential claim costs.
*** Implement systems, policies, and procedures for identification, collection, and analysis of risk related information.
*** Collect, evaluate, and maintain data concerning patient injuries and care metrics, liabilityclaims, worker's compensation, and otherrisk related data.
*** Assess operating risks involving clinical (patient care and regulatory), business (safety and Workers Compensation), and legal (claims processing & investigation) risk exposures, and liabilities.
***Investigate and analyze root causes, patterns, or trends that could result in compensatory or sentinel events. Help to identify and implement corrective action.
***Work with legal counsel to coordinate investigation, processing, and defense to claims made against organization.
*** Guide departments in designing risk management programs within their own departments.
***Work with corporate management, employees, insurance companies, and regulatory & legal agencies to establish comprehensive policies, procedures, ongoing audits, best practices, and similar to minimize asset losses.
*** Educate leadership, staff, and business associates and help define respective roles in supporting therisk management program.
*** Submit reports to Director of Risk Management on incidents, site visits, claims, and claims payments.
*** Provide technical expertise related to Long Term Care, Home Care, Hospice Environment, and similar.
*** Serve as subject matter expert related to Risk Management, Quality Improvement, Quality Assessment, Healthcare Administration, Insurance Investigation & Settlement, and similar for a healthcare environment.
*** Obtain Risk Management or similar certifications.
