POSITION SUMMARY:

The Risk Control Specialist is responsible for performing risk related monitoring, reporting and analytical functions. The position is responsible for supporting theRisk Management Department. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Establish and maintain reports and metrics

• Update/maintain risk objectives and control activity matrix

• Assist with systems and user acceptance testing

• Maintain reference guides, training material, documentation and presentation material

• Assist with all aspects of day-to-day risk management activities

• Coordinate and assist with the administration of group and stakeholder meetings

• Manage audit request and review documents for accuracy 

• Manage SharePoint site documents

• Maintain document status report list 

• Identify improvement areas and recommend solutions

• Other duties as assigned by management

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

• Strong documentation skills

• Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced ever changing environment

• Proven ability to manage issues through to resolution with attention to detail

• Must be able to communicate effectively and clearly in writing and orally, both in one-on-one and in group presentation situations. 

• Ability to interact and communicate with all levels of staff and management.

• Ability to work in a high-paced, often virtual, deadline driven culture

• Ability to work independently and effectively in a complex environment with multi-location teams 

• Display good organizational skills, and professional interpersonal skills and presentation capabilities

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s Degreepreferred in economics, business administration, accounting, technology, or finance

• High School required 

MACHINES, OFFICE EQUIPMENT & SOFTWARE: 

• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications - Excel and Visio a must

• Must know E-mail and Internet applications

Requirements:

Risk management- Identifying, managing, and monitoring

Experience in originations and servicing experience

Excel, pivots, v lookups, basic formulas within Excel

Experience with Enterprise Risk Management software system

Nice to Haves:

Certification in Risk Management Assurance

CIA- Certification in Internal Auditing/Project Management

Mortgage background would help but does not disqualify them
