Job Description

Position Summary:

The candidate will provide modeling and simulation (M&S) development and radar support for research and development.  Develop RF electronic warfare countermeasure techniques and algorithms.  Demonstrate techniques using combination of M&S and hardware.  Design and develop components and subsystems.  Required knowledge includes, but is not limited to, radar components, hardware, antennas (including AESA arrays, etc.), and radar system tradeoffs. 


•           Develop, design & implement an RF model system for field conditions in a laboratory setting

•           Develop EW countermeasure techniques and algorithms

•           Perform RF front end and antenna modelling

•           Support design and development of capability to simultaneously transmit and receive waveforms from the same aperture

•           Assess RF performance with software

•           Perform electronic countermeasure (ECM) system modelling

•           Adapt the test system as needed based on the program technical requirements

•           Adapt current and outside sourced models as needed

•           Design test cases/scenarios for countermeasure testing

•           Generating official reports on a periodic basis which contains the structure of the test events, the rationale on the structure of the test events (e.g. why certain parameters were chosen), detailed analysis, conclusions, and suggested approaches for future development

•           Work with team members to understand their technical approach and to provide technical guidance

•           present technical data/papers to leadership/conferences

•           Be able to clearly communicate with team members

•           Participate in team meetings/discussions

Required Skills:

Active Secret clearance

•           Computer science/software engineering/electrical engineering/physics degree with modeling and simulation, Radar, Electronic Countermeasures and/or Communications background

o          Ph. D., MS, or BS Degree

•           RF countermeasures

•           RF and Antenna modeling and

simulation experience

•           DigitalRF memory technology

•           Radar signal processing

•           Radar waveforms

•           Digital and analog filter design

•           Hands on laboratory/field experience

•           Matlab Simulink

•           Independent worker, team player

•           Excellent Technical writing

•           Be able to work in a research type environment

•           Effective communications
