Currently seeking a RF Communications Engineer to support and advise our NAVAIR Platform Offices supporting the Tactical Communications Integrated Product Team responsible for managing the evolution/integration of networked communication protocols, satellite communication system architectures and system integration support.
Essential Job Functions:
Research new radio functionality, analyzing requirements, submit inputs for acquisition documentation and support technical evaluations of proposals.
Provide support for radio developments including SATCOM modernization, new crypto requirements/development/integration of evolving communication protocols, tactical networking waveforms, and other functions for the ARC-210 family of products.
Reviews, analyzes, develops, prepares or applies engineering plans and technical specifications.
Organizes, analyzes, and prepares reports or presentations of technical data and information.
Requirements analysis to develop communication integration plans to meet platform requirements.
Manages project system engineering reviews and configuration management of integration plans.
Provides systems engineering support through design reviews for newly developed capabilities for software defined radios and associated ancillaries.
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
A Bachelor's Degree in Math, Physics, Computer Science or Engineering plus 6 years of experience is required.
Must have an Active Secret security clearance.
A basic knowledge of avionics such as: ARC-210 radios, SATCOM, and tactical networking waveforms.
Basic computer skills with ability to use MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint.
At least five years of experience directly related to Naval Aviation Systems.
