As an RF Board Design Engineer, you will be part of a team developing novel high and low volume antenna products. You will see your products move quickly into production and help oversee the test and validation of the products you develop. As almost all laboratory capabilities are in-house, and our team can manage your products from start to finish.
We are a well-funded start-up company focusing on SatCom antennas with backing by top tier well known investors with nearly $100m in financing. It has developed novel antenna technology which it is putting into production. The technology has been reviewed by several fortune 50 companies receiving lots of excitement. The technology enables antennas which are thin, low cost, low power and high gain. We build these antennae in our own production facility. We have state of the art anechoic chambers, all relevant test and validation equipment , as well as a full laboratory and detailed machine shop in our 70,000 sq. foot facility.
? This RF Board level designer should be a hands-on engineer who is motivated to see the products you?re building come to life. Though working independently, this is a team environment where each engineer and scientist offers their unique approach to the design solutions, and is recognized for their accomplishments.
? Required will be a Bachelor?s of Science in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis on signal processing, Radio Engineering, Wireless or Wireline communication theory.
? 5 years of practical hands on experience in an industry environment defining and designing RF and Wireless communication systems and products from as low as 500MHz all the way to millimeter wave frequencies. Since this is NOT an entry level job, only those applicants who possess the requiredexperience will be contacted.
? We prefer that you have some experience with Antenna Theory and transmission line theory
? We prefer that you have some experience testing and integrating radio systems in a laboratory environment
? Some experience with phased array antenna design and active design of phase shifters and alike.
? Mass-production experience is a plus but not mandatory
Minimum Requirements include :
? Hands-on experience designing RF systems and boards from concept and feasibility through schematics and layout all the way to Production and testing, High and low power systems.
? Deep experience with Simulation tools such as Ansys Designers, Key-Site [HP] ADS, Matlab Simulink and or equivalent.
? Direct experience designing and building transceiver chains, from the antenna port to the modem, LNA?s, Mixers, Filters, PA?s, PLL?s , VCO?s, synthesizers from 500MHz to 90GHz;
? Hands-on experience for analysis and building theoretical models to accommodate the buildup.
