Job overview:

We are looking for a rockstar Revenue Manager to join our Finance team and help us as we continue to grow and scale! At eero, we believe in developing individuals that can do it all. Everything from scaling revenue operations to providing our teams accurate revenue reporting. This is a fantastic opportunity to apply your operational accounting experience hands-on to help design new revenue operation processes as we scale. The ideal candidate is a jack (or jill) -of-all-trades ready to hit the ground running as our team tackles expansion into new channels, markets, and future product releases. 

As a Finance team member, you will have broad exposure to various functions at eero, including Sales, Operations, Business Operations, Marketing, and Engineering. You will also work closely with external business partners. The ideal candidate for this position will have a solid understanding of GAAP, excellent communication skills, and the ability to partner effectively across business functions.

What you’ll do: 

  • Manage our fast-paced revenue operations and work cross-functionally to design and scale our operations for all new product offerings and revenue channels
  • Manage daily order-to-cash operations (i.e., invoicing, statement of account reconciliation, and receivables aging analysis) for all revenue channels by working closely with our Sales team and retail partners
  • Responsible for the monthly close process around revenue, deferred revenue and all related order-to-cash accounts
  • Ensure efficient and accurate completion of month-end close activities, including the proper deferral and recognition of revenue for our hardware and software products
  • Own the preparation and analysis of monthly-revenue key performance indicators for all channels, products, and markets
  • Manage our cash account management, including reconciling cash receipts, disbursements, chargebacks, and bank and merchant fees
  • Develop exceptions management procedures to ensure timely and accurate reporting of all order-to-cash processes
  • Provide data and analytics support to the Strategic Finance team, as needed
  • Liaise with various Sales and Marketing team members to stay on top of new channels and customers, as well as tracking actual spend versus budget and providing timely monthly internal reporting for the Sales and Marketing teams
  • Assist our Business Operations team with ad-hoc projects in partnership with various other cross-functional teams to refine processes as eero continues to grow
  • Ability to roll up your sleeves to get the essence of an issue and then synthesize practical and scalable solutions
  • Provide support and backup for various audits and serve as the point of contact for all revenue / order-to-cash items
  • Assist in special projects, as needed, including the adoption of ASC 606

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or other relevant field of study
  • 6+ years of experience in an accounting role (experience in revenue operations is a plus)
  • Exceptional attention to detail, excellent written and verbal skills, as well as excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced Excel proficiency
  • Capable of handling multiple projects in a fast paced, hyper-growth environment
  • Desire to continuously improve and a positive, "can-do" approach

Bonus Points

  • Experience with NetSuite, Coupa,, and/or Stripe
  • Big Four experience
  • Ability to define and implement internal controls and/or best practices
  • Ability to design strong processes
  • CPA certification a strong plus
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP
  • Strong interpersonal and team building skills - ability to work with a diverse team and impart change across functional and business boundaries
