PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

As a Revenue Cycle Senior Manager, you will be responsible for directing and overseeing the overall objectives, policies, and initiatives of all revenue cycle activities to optimize the financial revenue management. In this role, you will track numerous metrics related to the revenue cycle including record coding error rates and billing turnaround times to develop sound revenue cycle analysis and reporting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE

  • Ensure efficient work flow processes as it pertains to the timely monitoring/management of claims
  • Design and monitor department productivity metrics, leads department in workflow processes to meet these metrics
  • Provide leadership in revenue collections, reimbursement strategies, process improvement, identifying and resolving revenue cycle opportunities for improvement
  • Work with providers and departments to manage billing deliverables
  • Actively participate in payer contract negotiations, discussions and disputes
  • Identify, recommend and implement solutions to operational issues related to compliance and/or systems security
  • Analyze and report monthly revenue cycle metrics and benchmarks to senior leadership
  • Maintain a complete understanding and an in-depth working knowledge of the hospital and clinic revenue cycle
  • Work with providers and departments to address and resolve medical records requests and payer audits
  • Supervise all payer contract activities and resources

DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field
  • Certified Revenue Cycle Representative and/or Certified Healthcare Financial Professional preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in managing a revenue cycle team
  • Experience with medical coding and billing
