The Revenue Cycle Director is responsible for overseeing and directing the revenue cycle within CNS. The position involves ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of all financial operations related to patient care, from registration to billing and collections. The Revenue Cycle Director supervises and coordinates the Medical Billing Specialists, Medical Coders and Reimbursement Specialists. Work is performed onsite at our Bakersfield business office and there may be some travel to other office locations. Work hours are performed Monday-Friday from 7:30am-4:30pm.

RESPONSIBILITIES:- Leadership and Management: Lead and manage the revenue cycle team, including direct supervision of medical coders, billing specialists, and reimbursement specialists. Act as an advocate on behalf of the department to the Company.
- Strategy Development: Develop and implement strategies to optimize revenue cycle processes, improve cash flow, and enhance financial performance.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as industry standards related to billing and collections.
- Performance Analysis: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and conduct regular audits to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with clinical and administrative staff to facilitate efficient patient flow and resolve any revenue cycle-related issues.
- Training and Development: Provide training and support to staff on revenue cycle processes, coding updates, and billing practices, fostering exemplary communication skills within the team.
- Technology Utilization: Leverage technology and revenue cycle management software to streamline operations and enhance data accuracy.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the revenue cycle budget, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently.
- Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, reporting directly to the Controller, while highlighting trends, challenges, and opportunities within the revenue cycle.
REQUIREMENTS:- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, finance, or a related field preferred.
- Extensive experience in revenue cycle management within a healthcare setting, with a strong understanding of commercial, workers compensation, and self-pay billing and collection processed
- Medical coding certification or relevant exposure to medical coding practices is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of healthcare billing, coding, and reimbursement processes
- Exemplary communication skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
- Proficiency in revenue cycle management software and data analysis tools.
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including skill sets, experience, education and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It's not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are arrived at each unique case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary is $90,000 - $120,00.00/year.
