As new technologies evolve throughout the construction industry, innovative ideas are required to maintain and deliver successful construction projects. DESCRIPTIONThe Resident Engineer will work on projects for Connecticut agency clients including ConnDOT. This is the opportunity to work on high profile projects that will have a positive impact in the New England area. As a Resident Engineer working out of Michael Baker’s Rocky Hill, CT Office you will face different challenges every day. Responsibilities include:

  • Construction staff management and mentoring;
  • Ensure quality standards and project deadlines are met
  • Compliance, and constructioncontract administration; 
  • Leadership at site meetings with the contractor and client 
  • Coordination with the client’s Project Staff
  • Provide regular status reports to senior management team 

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • 10 years of related constructioninspectionexperience, NICET IV, CCM or PE 
  • CTDOT project experience including bridge, highway, and rail projects
  • Familiarity with CTDOT Site Manager a must
  • Primavera scheduling and document control programs a plus
  • OSHA 10 or ability to obtain.
  • Excellent English language skills, written and verbal, are essential to long term success in this role.
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office) etc.
