Primary Responsibilities


  • Develop new and maintain existing line-of-business applications
  • Strives to develop with high coding standards, thinking about testability, and engineering excellence
  • Work directly with key investment staff to understand requirements
  • Provide creative solutions to complex business problems using cutting edge technology
  • Willingness to learn and contribute to applications across the entire stack (backend, DB, front end, UI)
  • Thrive in a highly social and collaborative environment
  • Can work in an agile environment and handle rapid iteration to the UI and design.

Architecture, Design, and Implementation


  • Work collaboratively with developers and researchers to guide system architecture
  • Design relational and object oriented data models
  • Implement designs using the .Net framework

Tools and Methodologies


  • Agile Development
  • Test-Driven Development
  • Paired programming
  • Service Oriented Architecture

JOB Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of development experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to quickly understand complex business problems
  • Extensive knowledge of object oriented programming is required
  • Experience in an Agile environment is desired
  • Experience with test-driven development and paired programming are desired.
  • Experience in the Finance industry experience, statistics, portfolio theory, and investments is desired
  • Experience with quantitative modeling, optimization, simulation, equity portfolio management and portfolio construction is a plus
