Seeking BS-MS level genotyping scientist familiar with genotyping methods such as: restriction fragment length polymorphism identification; random amplified polymorphic detection; amplified fragment length polymorphism detection, polymerase chain reaction, DNA sequencing, allele specific oligonucleotide probes, and hybridization to DNA microarrays or beads.

 

Shall be selecting, developing and implementing assays to genotype transgenic mice for many projects supporting a wide assortment of research projects.

 

Responsibilities:

 

*** Analyze genotyping requirements.

 

*** Select and source assays as well as develop new assays.

 

*** Evaluate and validate new techniques.

 

*** Troubleshoot and improve current assay methods.
