Develop innovative solutions to complex problems in diverse application areas including signal classification, electromagnetics, multivariate sensor systems, digital communications, RF modeling, data analysis, and power systems. Work in a stimulating environment on diverse technical challenges in applied research and development. Job responsibilities will include: providing technical leadership in the development and application of advanced solutions for clients; hardware/software/systems design, implementation, testing, and integration, initiating advanced research and development programs, interacting with clients, conducting technical presentations, and leading the preparation of proposals and cost estimates. Travel on an as-needed basis may be required.
Requires a PhD in Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, or a related field. Must have at least a 3.0 GPA. Core curriculum classwork in electromagnetics, signal processing, engineering mathematics, physics modeling, and statistical methods is desired. Strong software and scientific computing skills are required (e.g., in C, C#, MATLAB, R, Python, etc.). Must have published paper(s) and be able to show examples of technical innovation. Other beneficial skills include the ability to assess the feasibility of and identify realistic expectations of using machine learning and optimization tools for various applications. A valid/clear driver's license is required.
