Florens Container Services to locate a Resale Manager who can build strong relationships with our customer’s equipment control personnel, proactively telemarkets the customer base and provides solutions to clients equipment needs. The primary focus of this position is the successful implementation of the sales effort as it relates to resale equipment.
- Continual, proactive canvassing of the resale customer base to develop relationships, gain, report out, act on market/competitive information and solve customer's’ equipment problems.
- Proactively market resale equipment in the region with an overall emphasis on reducing costs and maximizing average price.
- Service the resale client base in assigned territory via phone/face to face with the ability to manage simple negotiations.
- Oversee asset management of all resale equipment in the region.
- Monitor inbound units coming off lease.
- Monitoring the repair process with our vendors as it relates to resale equipment.
- Successfully repositioning units in the most cost effective way to maximize sales price.
- Working with resale customers, lease customers, depots, truckers, terminal, repair vendors as necessary and domestic and overseas colleagues.
- Assist counterparts in other regions with inter-regional booking of equipment.
- Oversee accounts receivables for assigned clients/territory.
- Convey confidence and positive attitude about the company to the client base.
- Evaluate and forecast upcoming market conditions as it relates to the resale business and set market pricing for all types of equipment by specific port locations.
- Effectively make decisions on the spot to resolve customer issues.
Qualifications and Skills:
- 5-7years experience in cargo container, transportation, logistics and supply chain industries or other related fields.
- Effective interpersonal relationship development.
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Effective sales negotiation skills
- Being a team player and a good listener
- Detailed, organized, and self-motivated
- Effective troubleshooting/ problem solving
- Eagerness for minor travel for face to face sales meetings with major Resale customers within the region.
