Overview

The Remarketing Solutions Training Manager is responsible for leading a high performing team accountable for the design, development and delivery of remarketing, new hire and ongoing process training and other development solutions that meet specific business needs and build high performing team members. This team member will assess the needs and ensure the quality of Remarketing Solutions training through effective needs analysis, course and content design, qualified instructors, course evaluation, training resource materials, and learning reinforcement strategies.

Responsibilities

JOB DUTIES

  • Provide curriculum design and development expertise to lead team in enhancing and supporting existing solutions as well as creating new solutions for Remarketing, field and dealers.
  • Support and enhance current strategic training and development approach prioritizing team member development that drives employee engagement, increases performance and improves retention.
  • Support and enhance current strategic training and development approach that drives field and dealer engagement by increasing knowledge and utilization of GMF DealerSource
  • Provides expertise on adapting current training programs to alternative delivery channels such as the company’s intranet, e-learning, and self-study packages and toolkits.
  • Drive initiatives and plans as directed by Remarketing Solutions senior management
  • Coordinate training meetings with the entire training staff and meet regularly with trainers one on one
  • Investigates trends, technological innovations, and applications within the training industry
  • Provide ongoing guidance and training to Instructional Designers and Training Specialists to ensure development of knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • Responsible for planning, evaluating and ensuring the effectiveness of all training sessions, including new hire, follow up, reinforcement, reoccurring, and Remarketing Solutions training; internally, with the GMF field team and GMF dealer customers
  • Develop and updatetemplates for all training materials (job aids, simulations, leader guides, etc)
  • Develop and maintain processes for prioritizing learning requests
  • Partner with TDOC and Dealer Services Training to ensure alignment with corporate learning and development objectives
  • Ensure all training approaches engage participants, enhance the professional development of employees and ultimately result in increased employee performance
  • Continuously validate training solutions to ensure content is current, relevant and meets the needs of the learners and the department
  • Manage records and prepares statistical reports to evaluate performance of training activities and instructors and to monitor progress of trainees
  • Stay current on end-of-term process changes, GMF DealerSource enhancements, program/incentive updates (eg Dealer Dividends, FPOC, Maven, etc) and auction promotions so information can be communicated to the team
  • Solicit field and dealer concerns from team and make recommendations to management for process improvement and/or alternate communication and training strategies
  • Facilitate the understanding of the link between team member contributions and company performance

Qualifications

Knowledge

  • Must act as a positive agent of change and consistently demonstrate change management effectively through the ability to adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing tasks and demands, frequent change, delays or unexpected events
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Outlook)
  • Working knowledge of automobilefinance and vehicle remarketing logistics and operations
  • Demonstrates expert knowledge in training and content development

Education

  • High School Diploma required
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Experience

  • 3-5 years experience in curriculum and instructional design principles required
  • 3-5 years eLearning content development and web-based training development principles required
  • 2-3 years of leadership experiencerequired
  • 5-7 years in automotive finance industry operations preferred
  • 5-7 years of professional experience in corporate training required
  • 2-3 years experienceworking with/administrating learning management systems (LMS) preferred
  • Professional training certifications required
