Job Title: Release Coordinator

Job Location: New Providence, NJ

Job Type: Contract 12 Months

Job Description:

  • The Release Coordinator will be responsible for the deployment, testing, and implementation of new releases in both the Salesforce and mobile platforms for both production and non-production environments.
  • In addition the release coordinator will also be expected to oversee the change control process and will ultimately be responsible for providing final approval for all changes prior to deployment.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate new releases as they are made available from the product team
  • Deploy and test all releases in a client agnostic environment to certify them for delivery
  • Track defect fixes and enhancements
  • Ensure that proper testing and deviation remediation steps are being executed
  • Work with QA resources to ensure proper testing has been completed
  • Create and execute deployment project plans and develop timelines for completion
  • Ensure proper change control processes and procedures are being adhered to for UAT and Production environments including all proper approvals
  • Ensure that all client configuration documentation and test scripts up to date
  • Coordinates releases with clients or 3rd parties for the deployment of mobile applications
  • Follow continuous improvement processes after each deployment to identify gaps and recommend steps for improvement
  • Follows and utilizes standardized requirements, tools, templates and SOPs
  • Applies in-depth knowledge of system capabilities and user requirements to identify opportunities for process improvement, monitoring, and automation
  • Ensure code management and builds follow existing guidelines required to support production quality build process
  • Scale up and improve reliability of existing Continuous Integration Environment
  • Communicate release details and schedules to the Business as required
  • Continually work towards making improvements in the release process
  • Produce Deployment Plans for Monthly Release Reporting

  • SDLC background and experience with multiple methodologies

Other Education, Skills, Experience Desired:

  • Associate Degree required, Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in programming or release engineer role preferred
  • Experience with ITSM ticketing systems such as Service Now, Remedy, and JIRA
  • Experience supporting SaaS solutions
  • Salesforce.comexperiencerequired
  • Salesforce certified administrator certification preferred
  • Gearset experiencepreferred
  • Knowledge of change control processes
  • Proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications
  • SharePoint experience
