MMLIS provides our representatives with leading-edge broker-dealer capabilities and integrated productivity tools to help enhance firm profitability, drive business growth and forge deeper customer relationships. The Premier Support Group is a team of individuals who manage the broker-dealer relationships for top GDC MMLISI representatives. In addition to daily operational support for their representatives, this team champions business transformation initiatives such as the MMLIS Workbench and straight through processing through pro-active communication and training. When requested, the relationship managers participate in the recruiting process by assisting with the transition of experienced producers.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements:

This position requires the relationship manager to combine strong listening, questioning, positioning, and presentation skills with a strong working knowledge of MMLIS products, services and technology.

The relationship manager is expected to:

  • Drive high satisfaction, quality and efficiency for advisors
  • Build relationships and work with key business decision makers throughout MMLIS and the MassMutual organization
  • Book of business analysis to help identify new sales opportunities, retain existing assets, and maintain advisor profitability
  • MMLIS business planning and consultative support to help advisors leverage MMLIS’ products and services as effectively and efficiently as possible, both virtually and in-person
    • Includes the ability to design, organize, and execute fly-in training seminars for advisors and staff
    • Support advisor study group sessions
    • Promote advisor peer to peer networking
  • Advanced sales support for high net worth client opportunities
  • Promote, educate, and train advisors and their staff on the vast array of MMLIS offerings such as the MMLIS Wealth Management, Brokerage Platform, and Variable Annuity Order Entry system
  • Partner with key internal resources to help drive advisors marketing and branding strategies
  • Act as an advocate for change within MMLIS by driving continuous service and operational model improvements suggested by top advisors; routinely interface with MMLIS management to drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Serve as an escalated point of contact for top advisor service and operational issues
  • Proactively communicate MMLIS updates with their advisor populations

Qualifications:

  • 5 – 7 years of broker-dealer experience
  • Exceptional “world class” customer service skills
  • Proven experience working with large strategic relationships
  • Ability to manage competing priorities
  • Experience with various business partners across the organization
  • Ability to act independently and make decisions with minimal supervision
  • Successful at delivering presentations/messaging that influence top advisors, business partners, and executive management
  • Exceptional written/verbal communication skills
  • FINRA Series 7 license required within 6 months, if not currently held
  • FINRA Series 24 preferred
  • College degree preferred
  • Proficiency in the MMLIS Wealth Management and Brokerage Platforms
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
