Responsible for all aspect of a reinsurance contract with particular emphasis on claims, from rendering premium and loss accounts to reinsurer/brokers and to collection and application of cash into the reinsurance system.
*** Process premium adjustments and reinstatement premium according to contract terms.
*** Maintain reinsurance claim documents and account statements.
*** Prepare reconciliation of account and cash.
*** A minimum of 5+ years experience with reinsurance claims.
*** Progressive knowledge of P&C financial statements.
*** Knowledge of claim handling procedures and issues.
*** Ability to progressively understand direct policy and reinsurance contract coverage.
*** Ability to learn/understand and communicate to reinsurance accounting considerations.
Accountabilities & Measures:
*** Respond to internal and external inquires timely
*** Timely collection of amounts billed and timely documentation of amounts disputed.
*** Settle Deposit premiums in accordance with contract terms
Base compensation to $115,000 plus performance bonus; company matched 401(k); company paid family doctor, hospitalization, prescription, dental and vision; life and disability insurance; tuition reimbursement; employee assistance programs, and more.
