Investigate, analyze, and process reinsurance accounts. Determine balances due to and from brokers, reinsureds or reinsurers, notifies and pursues outstanding, assumed, and ceded balances in accordance with applicable reinsurance contract terms and conditions.

 

Activities:

 

*** Work on assumed and ceded reinsurance accounts for recovery of outstanding assumed and ceded balances due.

 

*** Research, interpret and analyze facts and apply insurance and reinsurance concepts to understand coverage and income or liability issues.

 

*** Provide auditors with requested documentation regarding reinsurance claims.

 

*** Prepare monthly disbursement file for payments, recommend a final payout after account reconciliation.

 

*** Perform account reconciliation including comparison of internal and external records including broker websites, data repositories, payment and account current statements.

 

Requirements:

 

*** Strong knowledge of reinsurance claims principles, practices and procedures.

 

*** B.S. in Accounting or Finance. CPCU or ARE designations a plus, but not necessary.

 

*** 2+ years of accounting or reinsurance experience.
