PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Clients engage RGP for expertise in delivering large and complex projects to strengthen their business. As an experienced Regulatory Reporting Accounting Consultant, you will address clients’ critical SEC and financialreporting needs by assisting with milestone projects and/or vital interim needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE

  • Leads clients through SEC reporting (including 10-K, 10-Q, S-1) and other filings
  • Performs complex analyses on the client’s financial statements and operating results related to the preparation of periodic filings with the SEC (primarily Forms 10-K and 10-Q), including footnotes and Management’s Discussion and Analyses
  • Monitors new accounting standards, provides analyses, and drives implementation to comply with GAAP, FASB, and SEC regulations
  • Drafts and reviews complex sets of financial statements with disclosures
  • Prepares consolidated schedules and analyses on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis
  • Supports other SEC filings or investor communications including press releases, conference call scripts, investor conference materials, registration statements, proxy statements
  • Liaises with external auditors and internal auditors

DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Finance or Accountingrequired
  • 8-plus years of experience in an external reporting or technical accounting role with a large multinational corporation and/or Big Four accounting firm
  • CPA with experience at a Big Four or national public accounting firm preferred
  • Strong understanding of FASB, US GAAP, and SEC rules and regulations
  • Excellent consulting, influencing, and negotiation skills with the ability to communicate across all levels of an organization
  • Strong attention to detail
