The Manager of Pricing (RPO) and Analytics plays a key role in the day to day function of the Pricing Department, and is responsible for executing and managing the pricing strategies aligned to by the Sr. Director of Pricing, Buyer and Planner. This position is responsible for overall pricing strategies and optimization across multiple lines of business, and for mentoring Senior Price Analysts and Pricing Analysts in regard to software knowledge and report development. The position is accountable for pricing integrity (price accuracy) for regular pricing and assisting the Buyer/Planner meet margin expectations as budgeted. The Manager of Pricing and Analytics is responsible to assure accurate, timely execution of all regular price changes, and helps investigate all store price issues. This position will also collaborate with marketing, advertising and supply chain to drive desire results.

This position will manage up to 4 price analysts (Sr.& Jr.) and 2 Price Effectiveness Sr. Analysts

This position will have a significant impact on company revenue and margin.

Job Description:


Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of related work experience required

Courses in management, marketing, finance or economics preferred

Work Experiences:

4+ years of related work experience, one or more managing teams

Experience in a retail, marketing or finance environment preferred


The ability to lead a team of high performing personnel

Self-starter able to initiate and drive projects to completion for yourself and delegate meaningful projects to a team

Proven problem solving, analytical and decision-making skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills

High attention to detail with the capacity to use a team to meet tight deadlines and stay organized

Intermediate MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint & Word)

Comfortable learning new skills including software applications

Price optimization, Oracle Retail, Structured Query Language/SQL or MS Access are a plus

Positive person with a can-do attitude and strong work ethic


Manage all activities surrounding regular retail, and price execution using Revionics and Oracle Retail Price Management (RPM) software. Revenue under management +$3.5B

Lead, mentor and train a team of Pricing Analysts (Sr. & Jr.) in day to day tasks ensuring timely completion and adherence to strategic intent

Serve as an ASO's subject matter expert in all pricing matters, developing training documents and presenting them to various groups internally

Responsible to develop and deliver strategic pricing recommendations to include: category role, strategic pricing options, margin targets, and private brand gaps to support all merchandise departments.

Oversee the development of pricing execution best practices

Direct pricing efforts with merchants and store teams to ensure communication and execution needs are met

Responsible to develop pre/post reporting for all pricing activity along with KVI selection process and store/zone analysis and assignments.

Manage competitive shop and reporting process.

Oversee price change submissions and check for proper format and timeline compliance

Oversee and participates in development of price zones, calendars, events, and components.

Audit price changes for accuracy, deciding where to make adjustments / corrections

Analyze current and future prices along with promotional / advertising flyers to ensure price accuracy and customer satisfaction

Act as the first level of contact for pricing inquiries coming from the stores, analyzes the situation and decides on corrective actions

Lead or participate in ad hoc projects as required

Maintain internal control documentation, effectively perform assigned internal controls, remediate internal control exceptions, and respond to internal and external audit requests

Required to learn company policies, procedures and safety rules

Duties may change and team member may be required to perform other duties as assigned
