Regulatory Affairs Manager ? Toledo, OH

Major chemical manufacturer is looking for a talented and dedicated Regulatory Affairs Manager to join the team at their Toledo, OH area Headquarters.

Develop, implement and coordinate compliance with federal, state, local and international regulatory requirements applicable to chemicals, equipment, water-based coatings and bacillus. Also, responsible for providing analysis and support of the company?s compliance activities, day-to-day administration of regulatory matters and promote sound product stewardship. Able to provide technical advice with respect to regulatory affairs to internal team members and our customers. Organize and maintain proper documentation regarding regulatory compliance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Proof all labels (chemical and equipment, basic coatings, and bio-systems), including accompanying literature, training materials or other written or digital materials for compliance with OSHA, FIFRA, CPSC, OAQPS, FDA, DOT, EPA, USDA, CDC, VOC and any other applicable federal, state, or local specific requirements.

?   Accuracy of warning statements and first aid statements on labels

?   Compliance on labels and (M)SDS?s according to US and International requirements.

Monitor activities at the federal, state and regional regulatory agencies and supply base to find opportunities for new product development and present findings.

Monitor, analyze, interpret and present information to senior management concerning regulatory affairs related to current and possible future products. Communicate the information to internal teams and lead the implementation of such regulatory requirement to ensure compliance.

Responsible for the maintenance and accuracy of OSHA (M)SDS generation, raw material (M)SDS database, Chemtrec and assignment of proper BOL codes to products.

Responsible for, but not limited to, all communication and ensuring compliance of the following:

?   OSHA, FIFRA, CPSC, OAQPS, FDA, DOT, EPA, USDA, CDC, VOC and any other

   applicable federal, state, or regional specific requirements.

?   DOT UN approved container testing

?   NAFTA classification of chemicals and equipment parts.

?   Europe - EU REACH regulations

?   Canadian - Compliance for DIN, CFIA, CEPA

?   California & Canadian - Nonylphenol phase out regulations

?   California - Annual SCAQMD AIM Distributor Report and 314 Emissions Report

?   California - California Mill assessments for EPA products

?   Maintain the sub-registrant relationship and coordination with vendors

?   Letters of guarantee for food establishments

?   State and regional compliance in formulation and labeling for Phosphate

?   Annual EPA state registration.

?   Accountable for monthly, quarterly and annual regulatory reporting and/or fees.

?   Communicate to internal/external customer questions and requests for documentation related

   to regulatory activities.

Complete jurisdictional and/or company specific safety paperwork on behalf of customers as requested.

Advise and consent role with operations as it pertains to the storage, handling and spill clean-up.

Attend seminars, conferences and workshops to track new trends in regulatory activities and interact with trade associations and other regulatory professionals.

Prepare annual regulatory affairsbudget.

Manage direct reports in supporting the overall regulatory needs for company and basic coatings. and provide regulatory support for bio-systems.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

?   Must have 7-10 years of on the job regulatory experience in a chemical/product manufacturing

   environment.

?   4-year college degree in Chemistry, Biology or Environmental Science.

?   1 year college math minimum

?   Knowledge of Law and Regulations is preferred.

?  Must now be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident.
