Landpoint is seeking an experienced Client Manager / Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) to be located in our new west Houston, TX location to manage existing clientele supporting various new and on-going projects. This is a full-time position with health, vision, dental and 401K benefits.

This person will provide support and oversight for a variety of existing clients and survey operation functions for Landpoint and its divisions, projects and offices. Additional responsibilities including management assignments and advancement would be available for the right individual.

Essential Responsibilities/Functions

  • Assist clients and customer representatives on deliverables and project-specific requests
  • Experience researching record-of-surveys and locating monuments
  • Experience preparing legal descriptions, filing plats, recording surveys, and preparing easements
  • Coordinating/managing survey field crews and/or client accounts maintaining a strong level of quality delivery of products and service(s)
  • Keep accurate, quality notes, records, and sketches to describe work performed
  • Work with project managers, Registered Surveyors and technicians to complete surveys in a quality, timely and professional manner
  • Research previous survey evidence, maps, deeds, physical evidence, and other records to obtain data needed for surveys
  • Prepare legal descriptions and exhibits for easement, rights-of-way, lot-line adjustments/ mergers
  • Assist other project managers or surveyors in surveying efforts to determine precise location and measurements of points, elevations, lines, areas, and contours for construction, mapmaking, land division, titles, mining, or other purposes
  • Manage field surveying to obtain data for base plans
  • Markets of work include but not limited to: land development, Alta's, civil and/or commercial

Required Qualifications

  • RPLS of TX
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/survey crews/technical staff/clients simultaneously
  • 8+ years managing surveying-related projects and crews

Desirable Qualifications

  • Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D software
  • Proficient in Trimble surveying products, including GPS systems for RTK surveying and robotic total stations
  • Valid driver's license with insurable driving record

Experience in the following is strongly preferred:

  • Land development, Platting, ALTA, construction staking, boundary and topographic mapping
