My client is currently seeking an outstanding Nurse Manager - Hospice to join their fantastic Home Care and Hospice team in Seattle, WA.


This is a full-time ?days? opportunity, generally working 8am - 5pm Monday -Friday.

Travel is local to the greater Seattle area, up to 30%, conducting joint visits with the Hospice RN's. 


The individual in this role will have a total of (21) direct reports from the Hospice and After-Hours Hospice teams, consisting of RN's and Home Health Aides.


While Home Health or Hospice experience is highly desirable, strong leadership skills with an ability to mentor and grow individuals and teams is of utmost importance in this multidisciplinary environment. 


Strong values, the ability to role-model and provide outstanding patient-centered care, while ensuring standards of care, is vital in this role. The individual in this position will lead their team to ensure outcomes in regard to quality, safety, service and cost.


The Nursing Manager will provide leadership and direction to the nursing professional practice team at the Seattle branch for the Hospice side of the Home Care and Hospice program.

This individual will ensure coordinated care and service planning in a designated geographic area and ensure appropriate resource allocation within budgetary parameters and financial stewardship principles.


This position is responsible for the human resource management and assurance of compliance with regulatory and practice standards, and for providing high quality, safe, consumer-centered care and services by partnering and collaborating withother Home Care Service managers, Care Delivery leadership, medical staff and multiple agencies.


Nursing Manager will collaborate and ensure effective communication with other managers within home care services to align operations and implement/monitor interdisciplinary change initiatives, workflow, quality and process improvements.



Minimum Education Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree Nursing.


Master's Degree Nursing.



Minimum Knowledge/Skills Requirements:

Strong clinical, business, strategic planning, human resources, financial management, leadership and communication expertise.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills:

Knowledge of the Hospice environment, clinical nursing practices, quality and process improvement.

Strong understanding of electronic medical documentation systems.



Minimum Experience Requirements:

3years of experience supervising a Nursing, Hospice (or Home Health) department, preferably in a capitated managed care environment.


Strongly prefer prior "Hospice" experience.

5years of supervisory experience in a Hospice/Home Health environment and experience coordinating contracted networks of Hospice/Home Health providers.



Minimum License/Certifications Requirements:

At time of hire Washington State RN license.


External hires must pass a background check/drug screen.
