Job Title: Registered Nurse - Home Health
Job Specialty: Home Health
Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 8 AM - 5 PM, 5 (8) hour days, Monday through Friday, with weekend and on-call rotation
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Experience: 1+ year required; Home Health experience required for first-time travelers
License: RN License for the state
Certifications: BLS
Must-Have:
- Valid driver's license
- Personal vehicle for travel between patient homes
Job Description:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients with conditions such as post-orthopedic surgeries, wound care, chronic/acute CHF and COPD, post-cardiac surgeries, genitourinary issues, IV antibiotic teaching/central line care, medication pre-fills, and lab draws.
- Manage a caseload with an average of 25 to 30 patients.
- Use the EMR system for documentation and care planning.
- Utilize IV pumps provided through a vendor.
- Participate in a weekend rotation typically once a month and an on-call rotation typically twice a month.
- Holiday work may be required if the assignment overlaps with major holidays, including New Year's Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
- Wear business casual or scrubs; no specific color requirement.
