About the Role:
We're looking for a Regional Vice President for our South Central and Midwest Region. You will use maximize team performance, provide coaching, monitoring and performance management. You will develop people and strategies to achieve Regional growth, and display skills exemplifying the direction of the company. You will improve operational process and create new ways to meet strategic goals. You will aim to increase profits and maximize the growth of revenue in the Region, while developing their District Managers and regional support staff. This is an excellent opportunity for the right applicant who loves growth and wants to make a difference in Total Wine & More’s future stores organization. You will report to the Chief Stores Officer. This position is based in our Dallas-Fort Worth Market.
You Will:
Develop People:
Lead, hire and develop direct reports while setting expectations for the region as a whole
Identify development areas for direct and indirect reports and implement action plans for individual growth.
Invest time with direct reports to maximize their strengths and minimize their opportunities through a structured development plan
Promote a high level of engagement and morale within the region through multiple activities and programs
Manage Sales Margins & Expenses:
Maximize the growth of revenues while increasing profits and controlling expenses
Maximize productivity and profitability by focusing on keeping controllable expenses (labor, shrink) within the budgeted targets
Develop partnerships with the wholesaler and distributors to ensure Total Wine & More is receiving the best pricing, service and selection possible
Look for ways to increase store, district, and regional productivity with an eye towards cost control
Maintain high level of team and personal accountability for regional performance through driving product knowledge and maximizing our results
Build a positive image of our brand through corporate participation and communication
Enhance Customer Experience:
Create a regional culture that reinforces delivering outstanding customer service
Look for ways to create local involvement with the community, and ensure they are informed about all major competitive activity
Monitor competitive environment and leverage corporate support in developing strategies to maximize regional market performance
Provide strategic direction to ensure the communication and execution of marketing programs are successful across the region
You will come with
Demonstrate knowledge of business operations as a multi-unit retail manager, regional or above with responsibilities for $1 billion in sales or higher and 10+ years of retail, big-box leadership
Servant leadership style that advocates for our vision to support change
Demonstrate the ability to develop people while maintaining an engaging environment
Numerical and reasoning skills with the ability to produce measurable financial results
Bachelor’s Degree in a business related field or equivalent experience
Wine, Beer, and Spirits knowledge beneficial, but not necessary
