As a Regional Vice President of Sales, you will use your K12 sales management experience with small to large U.S. school districts to help lead an already successful sales team to the next level and beyond. We are looking for an experienced, and inspirational leader with a strong professional network who has a passion for accelerating learning for all.

You will lead a team of Field Account Executives who consultatively sell solutions to new and existing customers through face-to-face and virtual meetings. Must have the ability to support and lead detailed account planning, guide regional and account specific strategy, and collaborate with Renaissance and account stakeholders to support successful implementations. Ideal candidates will possess advanced experience in sales forecasting, account planning, coaching contract/pricing negotiations, purchasing processes, key legislative initiatives, and challenges within the K12 education industry, and have a history of leading sales teams in K-12. SaaS success in selling assessment, literacy and/or other curriculum focused products to large school districts.

We have a team selling model which includes inside sales and field sales partnering to collaborate on school and district level opportunities. We have extensive strategic selling support including academic advisors, technical solutions engineers, funding services, contract writing and proposal writing services, implementation coordination, quoting and order services, customer success and project management, and data integration system consultants that all help to ensure a well-supported sales process and implementation effort. To top it all off, we have a world class government affairs team that drives state level contracts and opportunities. Renaissance has strong brand recognition built from 30+ years of customer loyalty and offices in WI, MN, CA, WA, NY, OR, and the UK, CAN, & AUS.

The Regional Vice President will use outstanding sales, leadership, and communication skills to:

  • Recruit, develop, motivate, and mentor sales team in accordance with company policies, standards, and practices, including extensive travel with your team as you help them achieve optimum success.
  • Exceed sales goals through aggressive strategic and tactical plans for sustainable growth.
  • Enhance already exceptional relationships between Renaissance Learning and its customers.
  • Build new long-term customer relationships using your vast network.
  • Provide accurate and timely business plans, business reviews, and sales outlook plans
  • Manage and review team member expenses according to policy and budget parameters

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in education or business, master’s or doctorate preferred or equivalent combination of related education and experience, plus a minimum of seven years of direct sales experience and 3years of successful sales management experience in education and/or technology; internal candidates without the minimum sales management experience will be considered
  • Comprehensive knowledge of K-12 market space, educational technology solutions, services, and funding sources
  • Proven leader that leads by example, and embraces change
  • Track record of building and motivating successful sales teams, growing sales year over year, and world-class customer retention
