Overview of the Role:

The Regional Vice President of Performance Management is responsible for overseeing a team of Performance Consultants and Associates, and managing the region's clinically integrated multi-specialty practices in order to drive performance results.

Primary Job Duties:

  • Manage team of 5-7 Performance Consultants
  • Oversee management of 70+ independent physician practices
  • Manage the end-to-end relationship of a client in Privia, from implementation to performance management
  • Serve as the senior escalation point for the team and practice
  • Host meetings with each physician practice in the portfolio to review action plan improvements and revenue growth
  • Create transparency with practices about their financial performance (or lack thereof), in order to drive change
  • Track and manage metrics and goals related to finance, revenue cycle, productivity, clinical performance, and customer experience
  • Identify areas of opportunity improvements through reviewing financial & clinical metrics
  • Mentor and coach practice administrators, in the management of their practice
  • Facilitate the transition of the physician practice from Fee-For-Service to the future Risk-based world of healthcare reimbursement
  • Effective leader with a sharp eye for constructive criticism in the physician practice
  • Strategic thinker who assesses situations carefully and delivers scalable recommendations and results
  • Professional presenter of relevant health care topics
  • Become an expert in AthenaHealth's Performance Management System and EHR
  • Provide top-notch customer service to physician practices to ensure issues are resolved and clients are satisfied
  • Ensure that operations are conducted in accordance with applicable accreditation, statutory and regulatory requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required. Healthcare Master's or MBA highly preferred
  • Previous healthcare experience required; working with physicians and medical group staff preferred
  • Experience managing a team to achieve individual and shared goals
  • Quantitatively and financially focused; must know how to read and manage a balance sheet and explain financial data
  • Tech Savvy
  • Successfully developed and achieved quality improvement measures in a medical field.
  • Managed multiple projects while providing exceptional client service
  • Must provide reliable transportation
  • Must comply with HIPAA rules and regulations
