As a leading supplier of products engineered to be used in demanding environments, we are looking for a dynamic Strategic Marketing Associate professional to join our team in Elkton, MD.

In this role, you will champion the regional Mobile Electronics market segment strategy and commercial tactics to drive customer engagement and sales. You will also gather market and customer insights to understand and identify regional trends that influence global market assessments, strategies and priorities. You’ll also leverage marketing skills to identify customer segments, critical purchasing criteria, customer journey maps, stakeholder roles and personas for effective targeting. In addition, you’ll collaborate with sales and business teams as well as other marketing associates to develop and deliver relevant value propositions and customer experiences. You’ll also adapt global strategies and marketing plans to regional needs and requirements to ensure high impact for, and effective execution by, the regional sales teams.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting regional Mobile Electronics market assessments aligned to global segment strategy and opportunities
  • Developing operational marketing plans to support and enable local sales teams engage target customers for quick revenue generation
  • Performing customer segmentation and identification of high priority customers
  • Creating customer engagement plans
  • Identifying and expanding product offering beyond legacy businesses in the segment
  • Monitoring regional competitive activities and contribute to segment competitive intelligence
  • Developing deep customer understanding in terms of critical purchasing criteria, stakeholder analysis, value chain analysis, customer journey mapping through frequent voice-of-customer engagement
  • Authoring regional go-to-market segment plans to achieve market segment and business team objectives
  • Creating advocacy strategy at key opinion leaders to influence market development for, and customer adoption of, PSD products and solutions
  • Supporting Mobile Electronics sales growth with emphasis on new products
  • Conducting relevant market research directly or through third parties
  • Collaborating with sales associates, market development associates, product specialists and application engineers to uncover unmet customer needs and translate to new product ideas
  • Contributing to building business cases for new product development
  • Partnering with product specialists, global strategic marketing and marketing communication associates to ensure effective value propositions and new product launches that are clear and compelling to target customers
  • Participating in cross-functional projects and initiatives when needed
  • Producing key deliverables, such as:
  • Regional Mobile Electronics market assessments: market sizing, new opportunities
  • Regional go-to-market plans: segmentation, value chain, journey mapping, and stakeholder analysis
  • Regional customer engagement plans: customer targeting, new product launches, lead generation tactics
  • Advocacy plans to identify and influence key opinion leaders

Qualifications

Required Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • A minimum of 7-10 years of strategic marketing experience in leading B2B multinational companies (from Consumer Durables Industry, Mobile Electronics Sales Market and Advanced Materials desirable)
  • Knowledge and familiarity with variety of business models and channels
  • High proficiency (spoken and written) in English
  • Proficiency in:
    • Learning agility in new markets, product technologies, processes and tools
    • Strategic thinking, project management, and organizational skills
    • Business and financial acumen
    • Drive action and results
    • Strong oral and written communication
    • Collaboration with cross-functional teams regionally and globally
  • Ability to:
    • Organize market research, from scoping to agency briefings and management, as well as data interpretation and insight development
    • Network effectively with customers and key opinion leaders
    • Travel overnight (>35%)
