Job Description:

Husqvarna Canada Corp., a world leader in outdoor power equipment is currently searching for a successful Regional Sales Manager for its professional division in Eastern Canada.  

The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for reaching sales goals of designated products and dealer performances within the specific regions. The Regional Manager will focus on developing and maintaining strong Dealer relationships, while overseeing the Territory Managers in reaching and surpassing sales targets and expectations.  Sales Territory - Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, PEI.  This position will be based from Montreal, Ottawa or Halifax.

Essential Duties:

  • Visit dealers on a regular basis and take care of all issues to ensure good business relations
  • Respond effectively to dealer inquiries regarding various aspects of our products
  • Assist with key open houses, field days and industry events, as needed
  • Assess and plan competitive activities and strategies
  • Implement tactical and well as strategic initiatives to maintain and grow Husqvarna's brand position in the marketplace
  • Coach and lead a team of Territory Managers to assist in the achievement of overall sales goals
  • Manage the performance of Territory Managers on an on-going basis to ensure targets are being met and strategy is communicated throughout the teams
  • Ensure corporate requirements are completed- CRM, Forecasting with Director Dealer Sales, working with Marketing etc.
  • Other duties, projects and activities as required

 
Qualifications (Education and Experience):

  • Bachelor or college degree; with minimum 5 years of salesexperience, and strong technical knowledge of company products
  • Proven track records in sales, preferably in a dealer network environment
  • Experience in a related field
  • Effective communication skills
  • Self-motivated, driven, available for a substantial amount of travel (60%) on a regular basis
  • Bilingual – French and English
  • Valid driver’s license and positive driving record
     

Skills and Capabilities:
 
Required

  • Excellent customer service and coaching skills to effectively manage a team of Territory Managers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • People oriented, friendly manner
  • Proficient in computer skills, including Word, Excel, CRM; learns new applications with ease
  • Proven ability to identify and develop new business opportunities 
  • Proven track record of advisor growth and increased sales
  • Capable of working independently and able to travel extensively to support dealer relations, prospect new clients and attend industry specific trade shows

 Desired

  • Previous dealer relationships and knowledge of the Eastern Canada Market preferred (QUE and East).
  • Previous manufacturer relationships an added bonus
  • Direct product knowledge
  • A complete understanding of the mathematics of finance and a good understanding relative to the products and services associated with inventory and accounts receivable finance
