As a South Regional Sales Manager with Verscene, you’ll be instrumental in establishing Quarrix Building Products’ unique brand and growing market share as you manage and build a strong network of independent agents to drive sales results through an established distribution channel. Quarrix is a leading manufacturer and distributor of high-quality roofing materials - roof ventilation, composite roofing, ridge vents, and more.

This home-based sales position (60 to 75% travel) reports directly to the National Sales Manager and is responsible for a sales territory spanning the following states: Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, North and South Carolina. Quarrix is a dedicated brand of Verscene, a division of Liberty Diversified International & headquartered in Minneapolis, MN.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

  • Build your team by hiring, developing and coaching a network of trusted independent sales agents in 1 and 2 step distributionchannels.
  • Identify new accounts in the 1 and 2 step distribution channels to gain market expansion opportunities and manage independent sales agents to successfully grow the region through end user relationships and channel partners.
  • Train independent sales representatives on how to demonstrate the value of our products to contractors.
  • Influence product specifications through relationships with local and regional architects and builders.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitive activities and communicate back to the sales and marketing teams.
  • Take full responsibility for your own success as you build an understanding of the market, drive your team toexecute sales and consistently strive for excellence.
  • Successfully launch new and exciting products into the specialty roofing market.

RESPONSIBILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS

To qualify, you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent/relevant work experience.
  • 5 to 7 years of sales experience including experience managing an external sales force (independent sales representatives/groups).
  • Experience in coaching sales teams to success.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks while being self-motivated and a good team builder.
  • Solid communication skills - both in written and oral communication.
  • Willingness and ability to travel (vehicle and airplane) extensively (60-75%) throughout assigned territory.
