Regional Sales Manager – Construction & Architectural Sales

Our client is the leading manufacturer of commercial outdoor recreation and fitness equipment targeting the education (K-12), government (city, municipalities), builders and developers as well as commercial business (corporations, fitness facilities, daycare, private schools, hospitality, etc.  They are seeking to expand into the metro Chicago market and hire a Regional Sales Manager.  The role will consist of mentoring and developing a team of sales executives (to 5-8) and driving new business within the region.  The Sales Manager will be an advocate in the marketplace for their team by meeting with city executives, planning boards, large scale developers and architectural firms.    


  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Min. 5 years+ direct outside sales management experience
  • Management experience targeting the construction, architectural and enterprise clients
  • Experience hiring, mentoring and developing a sales team from scratch
  • Experience building ride reports, developmental plans for a sales team
  • Highly activity based sales (hunting, networking, cold calling)
  • Ability to initiate and build relationships with key decision makers
  • Manage territory and meeting with potential clients
  • Experience with CRM system
  • Ability to travel 10% (quarterly)


  • Base Salary / Commission plan with Yr. 1 @ plan $150,000 guarantee
  • Year 2 $150,000+
