Client is a leading provider and manufacturer of custom engineered Process, Electrical Control and Power Distribution turn-key solutions to the Industrial, Power/Utility, Oil & Gas, Mining industries in North America. Their products range from large scale one-off custom Power Distribution, Control and Process systems to standard off-the-shelf electronic/electro-mechanical components. Reporting directly to the VP of Sales, they are currently seeking a Regional Sales Manager for the North Dakota Area.
The North Dakota Regional Sales Manager is responsible for developing overall regional strategy and tactical plans while promoting and developing the overall presence of client's products and services to new and existing customers in the above referenced region.
? Collaborate with the VP of Sales to develop, implement, and manage market / sales strategies for the region.
? Drive the regional commercial strategy to identify customer targets and applications that are good fit for client based on type of equipment purchased, customer behavior, and sector fundamentals (growth, openness to new vendors); prioritize efforts accordingly.
?Work with vertical Segment Leads to identify, prioritize and capture segment growth from existing and new targeted segment customers.
? Assess the competitive landscape by examining the sales strategies of key competitors, identifying market trends, best practices and competitive responses that can be applied to our market.
? Participate in planning and strategy sessions.
? Make formal sales presentations and follow-up calls to prospective new customers.
? Build and manage sales pipeline to meet revenue objectives for the region.
?Support both the customer and client's internal operations team in quoting phases. Develop strategies to close and win opportunities.
? Provide post sales service to customers, both during project execution phase and after delivery.
? Successfully cultivate long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with both existing and new customers.
? Develop ?business winning? EPC/engineering and channel accounts as appropriate.
? Engage in professional organizations and associations, trade shows, and the community in order to develop new leads and customers.
? Three years technical experience in selling custom engineered/integrated electrical solutions or process capital equipment products, process solutions to the Industrial, Power/Utility, Oil & Gas, or Mining industries with deep knowledge of customers, applications, competitors and channel.
? B.S. in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering
?Experience selling customized products in a collaborative, partnering environment with end customers and channel partners
? Preference will be given to those having an operational command of the full range of Energy sector business opportunities with established key customer contacts
? Available for travel / regional presence at least 75% of the time
? Proven track record of successful territory sales/business development growth of engineered solutions
? Excellent presentation and verbal and written communication skills
? Self-starter: candidate is hungry to grow business; comfortable with commission based bonus structure
? Excellent time management, decision-making, organization, human relations, and negotiation skills
? Must have a clean driving record
