We are seeking a Regional Sales Manager for the Central US territory for a leading provider of industrial abrasives, power tools, cutting tools and surface treatment technologies.

The Regional Sales Manager will develop and oversee the sales function of a 9 state region. They will be responsible for leading, mentoring and coaching the sales team within the region to develop sales plans with targets, to achieve salesbudgets and to maximize sales volume. 

Assist in developing sales and performance goals and establishing sales territories.  Analyze salesstatistics to determine sales achievement and potential.  Drive accountability system, achievement of salesbudgets, targets, and sales growth.

Create and develop a highly motivated sales team through coaching, training, and mentoring on a consistent and ongoing basis, by traveling with sales representatives and providing guidance.  Organize and implement a diversified sales training program for Sales Representatives and distributor partners and coach Sales Representatives on ways to improve sales performance within their territories.

Effectively manage regional expense budgets.

Effectively work to drive key strategic account strategies, tactics, and engagement strategies throughout the region.

Develop and maintain relationships with distributor principals, strategic accounts, and KEY influential End Users.

 Instruct team in and support the use of CRM tools and direct and monitor sales accountability based upon sales performance within the region.

Hire, develop, train and coach the sales representatives to ensure they have the skills, tools, and resources required to attain sales success. 

Track and measure sales performance, identify growth opportunities, and modify sales plan and strategy.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Must have a “hunter” mentality and a passion to succeed.
Understand the two step distribution process.
Must have excellent time and territory/region management skills.
Desire to motivate and inspire.
Able to travel cost effectively within the designated geographical sales region as much as 50% of the time.
Understanding of metal working, metal fabrication and industrial manufacturing.
