Astellas is announcing a Regional Sales Manager- Hospital opportunity in the Arizona, Nevada, Utah and Sacramento regions.


JOB SUMMARY:

First level in the 2 level specialty product sales management job family. Responsible for achieving assigned regional goals of volume and profitability in an assigned region, for managing reps, and for implementing all dimensions of regional market plan.

ROLE PURPOSE:

Provide the leadership necessary to achieve sales goals for Astellas' products and services in region under responsibility. Responsible for managing Sales Representatives and for providing consistent and uniform direction regarding execution of sales and marketing strategies and tactics. Responsible for the recruitment and development of field force personnel within the region, including career progression and dealing appropriately with performance below expectation. Responsible for ensuring the optimal allocation of resources across the region managed. Responsible for maintaining effective communication and relationships with key external and internal customers. Requirements

Qualifications:

Required

-6+ years pharmaceutical sales and 2 years pharmaceutical sales management experience or documented leadership experience (e.g. POA presentations, training / mentoring)
-Extensive knowledge of sales processes and pharmaceutical products and industry
-Excellent communication, facilitation and presentation skills
-Ability to effectively drive sales results through others
-Ability to train, coach and develop people
-Ability to hire, staff and develop strong teams
-Exhibits strong decisions making and judgment
-Ability to plan and execute effective Regional POA meetings
-Ability to manage and measure work
-Exhibits strong corporate values
-A BA/BS degree
-Extensive travel is required for this position - A valid drivers licesnse in good standing   *LI-SE
