The Regional Account Executive is responsible for growing new business for WellSky's Biotherapies solutions. While reporting to the Director of Sales, this position will provide critical support for promoting the Biotherapies products and services in key market segments. Successful performance in this position will be measured through the ability to analyze activity, targets, and trends to develop market prospects, and the execution of sales strategies to exceed established quotas and generate new growth opportunities. The ideal candidate will excel in a fast-paced business / clinical environment while driving all aspects of the sales cycle from lead generation through contract negotiation.

Principal Functions of the Job

  • Prospect for new leads, qualify warm leads, and conduct all sales activities in an aggressive, upbeat, proactive fashion. Primary objective is to attain and exceed sales quota.
  • Communicate product features, benefits and values proposition to prospective clients, while understanding their unique business models, needs, and challenges
  • Develop strategies to increase opportunities for meeting and talking to contacts in target market segments
  • Accurately generate timely proposals and contracts in support of sales cycle
  • Make presentations to showcase company and product to medical and laboratory staff, and administrative personnel
  • Fully understand customer purchase process (budget cycle, fiscal year, selection process – RFP/RFI, demos, etc.) and all customer roles in the purchase (decision maker, signatory, etc.)
  • Work with different areas of WellSky team to support the lifecycle of the sale – marketing, clinical subject matter experts, finance, legal
  • Track the status and activities of all assigned accounts and prospects in the appropriate tracking systems with the ability to provide clear status updates upon request of WellSky's management related to status of sale, next steps towards closure, strategy, budget cycles and expected closures for any given fiscal quarter, overall prospect lists, and other information as necessary.
  • Manage budgets responsibly through appropriate planning processes
  • Manage customer relationships by ensuring proper setting of expectations
  • Monitor competitor activity and competing products in key market segments

Required Education and/or Experience

  • BS/BA
  • Minimum 5 years sales experience in health sciences or laboratory medicine – oncology / cellular therapy experience preferred
  • Demonstrated track record of success
  • Launch product experience preferred
  • Software or medical device sales an added benefit
  • Strong ability to prospect in an emerging market
  • Must be detail-oriented with a problem-solving mentality
  • Ability to accept and improve on feedback
  • Results driven individual with a proven track record of consistently achieving or exceeding sales quota
  • Strong hunter and consultative sales experience
  • Highly motivated, and able to work independently
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Able to communicate and navigate the C-Suite (CNO, CEO, CFO)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with people
  • Microsoft Office experience
  • Salesforce or similar CRM experience
  • Must be able to travel up to 50%
  • Able to work in a fast paced sometimes stressful environment
  • Must have access to a major airport
