Role Value Proposition:

The Regional Sales Director is responsible for managing an inside sales unit of Regional Sales Managers who handle a large volume of independent agencies. In addition, this position will be responsible for managing outside/field Regional Sales Managers who handle a specific geographic territory. The successful candidate will work with their team to develop the business relationships and needs of the agents they manage. The team is expected to exceed corporate goals and objectives for sales and profitability while maintaining specific marketing budgets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Regional strategy development in line with achieving corporate objectives.
  • Day to day management of the sales team to execute the outlined strategies.
  • Responsibility for maintaining and managing appropriate budgets.
  • Develop, comprehend, and review analytics to promote profit and sales growth.
  • Communication with internal/external associates and business partners at multiple levels.
  • Coaching, mentoring, and development of the sales team.

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

  • Experience with people management is required.
  • Leadership development of team members to develop future company leaders.
  • 3-5 years of experience with personal/commercial insurance, as well as life insurance.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales and profit objectives
  • Familiarity with Salesforce (or similar tool), comparative raters, agency management systems, and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written and oral skills

Required:

  • P/C, Life insurance license

Preferred:

  • 5 years of agency management experience
  • 4 year college degree
  • Inside sales operations experience
  • Field Agency Management experience
