Develop/Implement and execute a Regional Strategic Plan to achieve sales targets and expand the company's customer base. The plan will have goals for each of the next five years and will require input and approval form the Sales Manager Americas & Global Sales Director.
Transform the business channel to market from a distribution generalist and build a world-class global technical selling organization with direct customer facing responsibiltiy. Train the team to act as Subject Matter Experts in industrial bioprocess production and other high purity fluid management applications. Lead in the navigation of complex selling cycles that include buying influences in dpartments responsible for regulatory compliance (FDA, CDER, CBER), validation sciences, process engineering. Drive the ability to co-develop fluid management solutins from ideation at the scientific level to manufacturing a the product launch level.
Work closely with Product/market/Sales Management to develop, establish, and direct niche target market sales programs. Train Technical sales teams in the procurement of customer problem-cost information that will support strategic pricing decisions.
Serve as the lead negotiator (subject to SG Executive Management approval guidelines) for large dollar contracts in the biopharmeceutical industry, where product-type spend is frequently miollions of dollars per year.
Serve on a regional basis as the business management representative at major industry events, conferences, tradeshows, and expositions.
Management of 4-6 Business Development Managers with a concentration on the U.S. Market.
Bachelor's Degree required - Engineering, Biology or other Technical Field
Master's Degree preferred - Engineering, Biology or other Technical Field.
Sales Management - 5+ years - Life Sciences Industry
Experience in Technical Sales Impact & Team Development - 3+ years.
Must be able to travel between 50-75%
Expertise in industrial production of recombinant therapeutic proteins, preferred
Demonstrated & progressive record of achievements - exceeding revenue & profit targets.
Ability to plan & manage at both the strategic and operational levels.
Ability to work across organizations at a management level to achieve approval for plans and proposals.
